Raymond was born and brought up in nearby Hamilton and graduated in dentistry from Glasgow University in 1985 with distinction passes in Medical Chemistry and Dental Technology and Materials Science.
After 7 years in practice Raymond set up the Village Dental Surgery in 1993 with one dental nurse.
Bothwell Dental & Implant Clinic now employs 14 members of staff and provides a comprehensive dental service.
Raymond has dedicated his career to continuously improving the quality of care he provides to his patients by actively committing to further education and training. He has trained and worked with orthodontic consultants at Glasgow Dental School and Hairmyres Hospital. Having completed recognised implant and cosmetic dentistry programs in England, Raymond now receives referrals from other dentists to provide these services.
He was awarded The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of The Royal College of Surgeons in 2009.
Raymond is an Invisalign Gold accredited dentist, a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and has access to a network of dental specialists to enable his patients to receive the best possible dental care. He believes that all patients should have the option to choose the dentistry they need to maintain a healthy mouth and attractive smile for life.
Raymond enjoys watching and participating in many sports but the highlight of his week is dragging his aching bones around the 7 a side pitch on a Wednesday night with his fellow football loving veterans.

Lesley Dardis qualified from Glasgow University in 1988
For over 20 years she has been providing care for her patients at Bothwell.
Lesley is a highly experienced clinician and enjoys all aspects of dentistry.
She has a keen interest in endodontics and working on teeth to provide natural smiles.
Her kind and gentle approach is reflected in her work/ life philosophy, and she has enjoyed dedicating and developing strong relationships with her patients.
Her passion is to provide the highest standard of treatment and motivate her patients in preventative care.
Lesley’s special interests are in restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry and is part of the team of dentists working with patients referred to the practice from other dentists.
She is involved with planning and restoring dental implants, full mouth rehabilitation's and smile design.
Her whole career has been dedicated to postgraduate training, having completed three of the country’s highly accredited advanced restorative and implant courses. She has been involved with the clinical training of other dentists at the ARCS course previously run by the practice. Lesley is a Member of the Association of Dental Implantology.
Outside of work Lesley’s hobbies include music, golf and keeping fit.
She has 2 children at university so now has a bit more time on her hands.
If she’s not out walking her dog, you will find her blowing her own trumpet twice a week at the local brass band hall!

Kevin graduated from Glasgow University with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery in 1995. He was awarded the final year prize in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology before commencing a year of postgraduate training in Edinburgh.
From 1996 to 2000 Kevin worked and trained in the hospital based dental speciality of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His resident postings were in the South West of England in both civilian and mixed civilian/armed force units where as part of a multi-disciplinary team, he treated everything from wisdom teeth removal and broken facial bones to advanced trauma and cancer cases.
In 1999 he gained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in England. He left the hospital service in 2000 and worked in general dental practice in both England and his native Scotland. He was a visiting Specialist Doctor of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery based in Torbay Hospital in Devon. In addition to his years of hospital surgery training, He has undertaken extensive postgraduate training throughout Europe and the USA in implant dentistry and its associated procedures.
He combined the need for implant dentistry with the growing demand for smile design based cosmetic dental procedures. To facilitate this type of dentistry, he has undertaken advanced cosmetic dental training with the world-famous New York based cosmetic dentist Dr Larry Rosenthal in both Guys Hospital London and The Rosenthal Institute in New York University in the USA. His skills in implant dentistry are sought after throughout the UK working with dentists in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. He is a senior tutor in implant training at the Dentale Centre in Bristol where over 1000 implants are placed every year.
In 2017 he completed the following Masters University Programmes, Master in Prevention and Management of Esthetic Failures, Universtity of Bern, Switzerland, Master in Regenerative Plastic-Eshetic Periodontal Surgery, University of Bern, Switzerland and took first place in Advance Surgical Master Curriculum in Regenerative Implant Dentistry, University of Szeged, Hungary.
His extensive knowledge and experience in implant and cosmetic dentistry ensures that we can offer our patients a service second to none in Scotland.

Colin graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2009. Since leaving university he has been working in general dental practices and began working in Bothwell Dental & Implant Clinic in February 2018.
Over his many years in practice Colin has become proficient in providing comprehensive dental treatment plans. He has a special interest in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry and takes great pride in watching patients grow in confidence as they progress through their treatment.
Colin also enjoys working with anxious and phobic patients. As such, in 2013 he underwent training in the provision of IV sedation and has since logged countless hours restoring smiles using sedation to make patients feel as comfortable as possible.
Always keen to develop and broaden his knowledge and skill set Colin began training in the provision of Facial Aesthetics treatment in 2015 and provides a range of facial rejuvenation treatments to our patients.
Outside of work, Colin enjoys spending time with his family, taking the dogs for walks and is an avid musician.

Yvonne began her career in dentistry in 1995, initially as a nurse but has since gone on to graduate from Glasgow Caledonian University as a Dental Therapist.
Yvonne has worked in many different settings and provides hygiene appointments to patients here at Bothwell Dental Care. She is very focused on prevention and enjoys helping nervous patients overcome their fears.

Anne is a registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 1985.
She first started her career in dentistry in Canniesburn Hospital within the maxillo-facial department and also worked in the oral medicine department of the Western Infirmary. Anne has been an integral part of Bothwell Dental & Implant Clinic from the beginning and has looked after our patients’ dental health for over 25 years, getting to know families through the generations.
She treats patients sympathetically and in a gentle manner, taking a holistic approach to their care after gaining her LF Hom in Homeopathy in 2003. Her special area of skill and expertise lies in preparing patients oral health prior to dental implant placement and providing post-implant aftercare for on-going implant maintenance.
Anne is also qualified to carry out in-surgery Zoom Tooth Whitening Procedure which gives our patients a same day whiter smile.
Anne was president of Glasgow Dental Hygienist’s Alummni Association and has a keen interest in keeping up with new procedures and protocols.
At home, Anne loves to read and garden and enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and their horses and other animals.
Senior Dental Nurse/Receptionist

Senior Dental Nurse/Reception SVQ in Oral Health Care (Level 3)
In March 2004 at the age of just 18 Alana joined Bothwell Dental & Implant Clinic as a trainee Dental Nurse. She went on to complete her SVQ in Oral Health Care: Dental Nursing City & Guilds in 2007. Now a Senior Dental Nurse, Alana has always shown great organisation skills and is very much a valued member of our team and also with our patients over the years. She helps to maintain the smooth running of the practice and provides all of our patients with a very warm welcome.
Outside of work Alana is busy being a Full Time Mummy to her three beautiful children, her son Jaxon who was born in 2017 followed by twin girls Marley & Mia in 2018.

Grace started her career in dentistry in 1994 in her local area of Lesmahagow. She qualified as a dental nurse in 1999 and worked in NHS practices in Glasgow, latterly carrying out reception duties, Childsmile programme and eventually as manager.
Grace joined the Bothwell family in 2017 and took over the running of the practice as Practice Manager in December 2018. Grace’s love of her job comes from being able to assist patients in their journey and supporting colleagues in their continuing professional development.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends.
Senior Dental Nurse

Emma qualified as a dental nurse in 2008 and joined the Bothwell family in February 2010. She has been a committed member of the team for almost a decade and has enjoyed building excellent relationships with our patients over the years.
Since joining our team, Emma has gained a vast amount of experience in all aspects of dentistry and is a friendly, familiar face around the practice. She has the benefit of both a hands on role in the surgery dental nursing and as Senior Dental Nurse where she keeps things running behind the scenes. Emma has a keen interest in dental implant surgery and works alongside our implant surgeon Mr Kevin Bruce ensuring our patients receive the highest care possible.
Outside of work, Emma loves spending time with her family and socializing with friends. She is also currently busy planning her Wedding in 2020.

Laura qualified as a dental nurse in 2008, gaining her NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing and VRQ Level 3 Dental Nursing City and Guilds. She joined Bothwell Dental & Implant Clinic in December 2009 and as a loyal member of our team has since gained experience in all aspects of dentistry including; dental implants, orthodontics and cosmetic restorative dentistry.
Laura looks after the Health & Safety Procedures within the Practice. She is our Qualified First Aider and Fire Warden making sure we’re all taken care of at work.
When away from work, Laura has a passion for cars, adding a tick to her bucket list by completing the Super Car Driving Experience earlier in the year. She is very family orientated and enjoys holidaying with her partner and two step children. She enjoys keeping active with outdoor activities such as walking, quad biking and go karting.

Stacey began her career in Dental Nursing over 14 years ago working as a Dental Nurse before moving into a different area of dentistry becoming a Quality Controller in a Dental Laboratory. Stacey took a short career break after having her children to focus more time on her young family before returning to Dental Nursing and gaining her HNC in 2016. She joined our team in 2018.
Stacey enjoys all aspects of dental nursing and is particularly passionate about dental implants and oral surgery. She recently completed her Sedation Training Course to help anxious patients throughout all stages of their treatment. Her infectious laugh and warm personality make her a reassuring face around the practice.
Away from work, Stacey enjoys spending time with family and friends. She likes to travel and enjoys planning holidays and weekend breaks with her family.
Dental Nurse/Marketing & Event Coordinator

Christine started her career as a dental nurse in 2010, achieving her Higher National Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2013. Christine joined Bothwell Dental & Implant Clinic in November 2018 as our Receptionist and Treatment Coordinator.
She has a keen interest in Invisalign Orthodontics and has attended several Invisalign courses to further her knowledge and skills to ensure patients are fully informed in all aspects of their treatment journey. Christine is passionate about her role and really enjoys spending the time with our patients, getting to know them and helping them understand and choose their treatment options.
Christine recently took on the role of Marketing & Event Coordinator and has had great fun organizing different events and study evening for our referral practices. She is also our Childsmile Dental Nurse and loves this part of her role.
In her spare time, Christine loves spending time with her young family, planning family trips and socializing with friends. She recently got engaged so can’t wait to start wedding planning!
